OK. Now we have the person to whom we need to talk, we have required gadgets, the next big problem which most of the parents face is’ WHAT TO TALK?’ It’s really simple. Start with the day to day practical stuffs. Think beyond’ HOW ARE YOU DOIN?’ Calling them doesn’t mean you have to lecture about things to do and what not to do, while these things are also important, but these kind of talks can get irritating if done frequently. If this is the case the child will start to crib answering your call and that is not we are aiming for.
Being silly can be handy at times. just pop out a question’ has your teeth fallen off’ or things like ‘HOW WAS YOUR DAY’ etc. This gives a feel that you are physically present with them. Joke around and & keep the conversation cool. Remember one thing; don’t let them feel that you are keeping eye on them by drilling them with questions. Nothing works better than appreciation. When you talk about your children day to day life they will also feel good and wanted.
